- First, thank you for providing a warm, healthy and hearty meal for our team. The Thursday
team dinner, is a tradition that started a few years ago to make sure that each player had a
good meal the day before a game.
- Parents should arrive at the CVHS cafeteria at 5 pm. Please do not arrive before 5pm,
maintenance needs to clean up after school and we do not want to be in their way.
- If you are not available on your assigned day, please switch with someone or find a
replacement.
- Team dinners usually consist of pasta w/ sauce, meatballs, sausage or chicken, salad &
dressing, rolls, dessert, water or Gatorade. Plan on enough food to feed 60 - 80 hungry guys.
- Have the food cooked and ready to serve - we cannot use the cafeteria kitchen, only the
dinning area.
- If you move tables to arrange for a buffet, please put them back before you leave.
- Parents need to coordinate who will make, bring and / or donate each item.
- Don't forget paper plates, plastic silverware and napkins. You may want to bring some paper
towels for clean up.
- A friend or family member is welcome to come along and assist as you with set up, serving and
clean up after the team dinner.
- If cost is a concern, local businesses are often willing to donate items or gift cards when asked
kindly and in advance.
